To keep pace with the global community and to compete with the rest of the world, the medium of instruction chosen is English and the curriculum, Cambridge International Examination (CIE). Due importance is also laid on National heritage and mother tongue. Keeping that in mind, proper emphasis is paid to vernacular as well as History, Geography and General Knowledge of Bangladesh and South Asia.

For children aged 3 years and above (Playgroup and Nursery), the aim is to develop skills through understanding of English Language and recognition of letters, numbers and colors. Children aged 5 years and above (KG-I & KG-II) follow a programme which includes speaking, listening, writing, drawing, music, games and sports.

Children of 7 years and above (Grade-I and onward) are introduced to the formal subjects of:

In Grade-IX, students choose a minimum of 6 subjects among which two Languages and Mathematics and Bangladesh Studies are compulsory. Students can take the examinations in two sittings—one in May/June and the other in October/November sessions. The school, however, advises students to take most subjects in May/June session so that they can get four more months to prepare for subjects to be taken in the next session.

Advanced Level
Advanced Level is a two-year course divided into Advanced Subsidiary (AS) and Advanced Level (A2). Students are required to take a minimum of two subjects to graduate. But they should take three subjects if they are to get accepted into top International Universities. Students do AS in Grade XI and A2 in Grade XII. No subject is compulsory. Advanced Level is a University preparation course and therefore, ROYAL advises its students in choosing the right subjects relevant to their career choice.
